I last posted on this blog 1,710 days ago. But it's still here, and things are still happening with our family. In fact, really big things. Things I need to record somewhere, and since I do not efficiently keep a journal or diary, this will suffice, and I can add pictures to it.
On February 16, 2021, I received an email that read:
"I am writing to let you know that the University considered that your application for the DPhil in English starting in October 2021 was of a commendable standard, and that we will shortly be sending you a Certificate of Offer which will detail the conditions which you will need to meet to become a student of the University."
If you live in the American west and awaiting an email from Britain, it will arrive first thing in the morning. I was still in bed when I read this email, and woke Trevor: "Trevor! I think I was accepted to Oxford - but read and tell me if you read the same thing!"
