fashion upgrade

I recently made some fashion upgrades to my new, sturdy, dove blue winter coat:

that had six unoriginal, boring brown buttons:


I made cloth covered buttons with Amy Butler fabric to replace them. I embroidered the fabric a bit to make the patterns jump out. Then I sewed a brown running stitch to outline the pockets, collar, and back piece:
























Much better, yes?
