good tidings

The Ides of March have boded extremely well for this family. As if our recent news wasn't grand enough, we have more good news to share:
  • Trevor's book cover was chosen for UVU's yearly publication of their Best of the Arts, called Touchstone, out of at least one hundred other competitive submissions. (!!!) I am so proud of him! It is a severely cool cover, and I can't wait to see it printed! Big kudos to Trev!
  • My thesis adviser and my second reader have read over the draft I turned in Monday, and they both agree it is a "better and more sophisticated" version of my argument, and it's ready to defend! Hoorah! So this weekend I'll be working on some of their editing revisions, and then it's scheduling the defense.
  • Trevor's leaving on Sunday for New York City with his graphic design school group to see the art scene there, meet with professional graphic designers, go to all the museums, lectures, an illustration sketch, and all sorts of really cool artsy things. He's so excited to go! It's going to be so cool, even if it means Tiber and I will miss him terribly. He'll also get to go to The Strand, one of three bookstores I must see before I die, and I'm horribly jealous. The Pearl art supply store is also on his itinerary, every artist's dream stop. A full week of NYC!
