If the Art History faculty at Brigham Young University were professors at Hogwarts, they would be:
Mark Magleby: Prof. Remus Lupin (book III Lupin, specifically)
Martha Peacock: Prof. Minerva McGonagall
Mark Johnson: Prof. Binns (but add a sense of humor)
Heather Jensen: She wouldn't teach at Hogwarts at all, but a professor at the Beaux Batons in France
Oh, yes, I've thought about this quite a bit.
Oh, this is fun game. (I like leaving off articles, it sounds like I'm foreign.)
ReplyDeleteLet's play this with our friends as Jane Austen characters:
Heider Head- Mr. Collins, okay Fanny Price
Me- Eleanor (but some days Emma)
You- Marianne
Megan H.- Anne (Persuasion)
Taryn- she can be Emma too, and sometimes Jane (because she's so nice)
Beth- Elizabeth, because she's already married the RICH Mr. Darcy
Shelley!! I really like this post. I have a vague idea who these people are, but this is funny never the less!
ReplyDeleteHa! I knew it! Tian Tian admits it! I would like to call your mind back to the night of Holly's pre-mission B-day party, whereat we played a delightful game of Jeopardy. I was facing off against none other than Craig over the question: "Which Jane Austen character would Holly be?" Craig answered "Elizabeth" and I answered "Emma" (too smugly I might add), and Holly picked Craig's answer. But I always suspected that the accuracy of my answer was a bit nearer the bull's eye. Bwahahahaha. Oh yes, we literature people remember these things. So, the truth is revealed and I am vindicated!
ReplyDeleteMeggy, I will have you know that it is only in the Post Tian world that I have started to consider myself an Emma. So, your ability to recognize people as what they may become and not what they are is quite uncomparable.
