My Dalmatian Walter is my favorite dog we've ever had. He's quirky; he'll jump on your lap and stare deep into your eyes, hide things in the compost bin, lay on his back with all four legs in the air and smile. I absolutely adore him. He's a beautiful animal, sleek and trim, but his personality is not at all. We bought him from a fancy breeder in California, at a discount price because he has 'patch' ears (meaning both are black) and his spots touch each other, both of which disqualify him from being a show dog. His father died ten years ago, but was such an award winner they (literally) froze his reproductive cells to use later. And Walter is the result. We attribute many of his wierder habits to having "freezer burn."
