Yep. We are. Can you believe it?! It's so wonderful. Trev & I found out the week before Thanksgiving. We were so excited, I cried.
I didn't want to 'announce' it until I was at least finished with the first trimester, and today we had our first doctor's appointment and the nurse said I was 11 weeks and 5 days. So I'm only two days early in announcing, which is really good for me who doesn't like to keep exciting secrets. So that puts my due date at July 23, which fills my imagination with future summer birthday parties.
We also heard the heartbeat today. Oh my word, that was amazing. It suddenly felt real - I haven't just been sick! So far I could have just had a bad, long flu. But today I know that baby is really in there!
I am really happy. Sick, sore, tired, but so happy.

ReplyDeleteIt's kind of fun to think that you'll have a little buddy with you during your thesis defense. And sorry about the sickness, soreness, etc. Pregnancy can be the pits sometimes. But cute lil' babbies are worth it!

This is wonderful news (although, I admit, Holls told me over Christmas in the night time secrecy of our quilt tent)! May your new little person inherit all your good taste and all Trevor's easy going-ness.
