Quilts are important in our family. They are only given for big life changes - birth, mission, moving out, getting married. Today my mom and I picked out the fabrics for our two baby girl quilts. It was very exciting for me; a quilt in the works means big things are happening. So happy. I knew exactly what I wanted, the fabric lines, colors, style, etc. They will be lovely!

I love this tradition! I wish we had piece quilters in my family. Unfortunately I come from stock who sew two pieces of fabric together, tie it with yarn, and call it a quilt.
ReplyDeleteawww yes, quilts are in our family, too. There's a family in our ward who made me a huge quilt while I was spending time in the hospital.
