Took almost as long to clean the mess as would have to roast the bird.
Oh, and did I mention it was a brand new stove? As in, installed
yesterday, new? Brand spanking clean? That is, until I thought I would roast a turkey in a Pyrex baking dish, instead of buying a stupid roasting pan.
We are trying so hard over here to figure out how/why this happened.
ReplyDeleteBut the next time you're wishing you had a kitchen item that seems like something random you'd rarely use.... we probably have one you can borrow. It's our soft spot.
Oh no, Shelley! I am in shock for you!
ReplyDeleteIf it's any consolation, I once forgot about a couple of potatoes I put in the oven to bake. It was like mashed potatoes covered every square inch of the oven.
Oh no! Cooking accidents are so frustrating...luckily they usually make pretty good stories later that you can laugh about. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Shesh. I'm going to cry when I leave too!!
ReplyDeleteOh man, that is sad, but pretty funny picture! Our friends had a turkey mishap as well so we had no turkey on thanksgiving :) I hope your new oven is ok
ReplyDeleteOh, Shelley! That's awful. (It looks like something that I would do.) I hope you guys still had a nice Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call "breaking in a new oven!"
