Dr. Glenn was extremely pleased with my progress. He said blood pressure, weight gain and everything else looked great. I have the belly of a seven month old singleton pregnancy, which didn't surprise me. He said to watch out for three things: gestational diabetes, sleeping on my back, and if I have contractions in a recognizable pattern. I get an ultrasound with a paranatologist in two weeks, and will get one every two weeks after that. As exciting as it is to see my babies, I'm not thrilled about the paranatologist. I've been warned they are the 'doom and gloom' type. But I'll stick to my stubborn optimism and be sure to hear only the important stuff, rather than focus on all the potential, life-threatening dangers of twin births.
My official due date is July 23rd, but twins typically deliver between 34-37 weeks. 36 weeks is optimal - which would put me around June 23rd (our third anniversary!)
Good baby news today.
Wow - 3rd anniversary? It's been that long since I got to meet you in real life?
ReplyDeleteI love your stubborn optimism. Keep it up.
I just think about these babies daily!
