Saw a couple of movies this weekend, and enjoyed all of them.
- Up - I liked this movie immensely. Fun to watch a movie with a truly imaginative plot! And I loved the visual balloons - so colorful and bright.
- Against All Flags - summertime creates a craving for swashbuckling old movies. This is a direct influence from Sarah. I never watched this one with her, but Trev and I loved it. Errol Flynn and Maureen O'Hara, and ships, and awesome costumes, AND ANTHONY QUINN, yes, please!!!
- As You Like It - how I love Kenneth Branagh for his Shakespeare. We loved this. Bryce Dallas Howard and Romola Garai were so much fun to watch, especially considering that very soon we will also have two girls in the house. Trev re-watched the sumo scene a few times.
I watched "As You Like It" at the International Cinema a few semesters ago and also enjoyed it thoroughly. I really like how Branagh does Shakespeare. I must see more of his movies...
